About the event
The 2024 harvest saw a marked decrease in grape yields -- approximately 40% less grapes compared to the fruitful year prior. But the quality of the fruit was outstanding -- as exemplified by Paul Lato's wines of the vintage. Naturally smaller yields, paired with evenly ripened grapes over a cool, windy Spring and moderately warm Summer resulted in smaller berries with thicker skins and fresh acidity. Under Paul's watch, the Pinot Noir from 2024 are deep-hued and concentrated, yet a touch lower in alcohol compared to past vintages. His Chardonnays are precise, crystalline and capture the salinity of the coastal influence.
Critic Jeb Dunnuck describes these wines best: Stylistically, the 2024s seem to mark a slight shift and might be some of the most ethereal and elegant wines I’ve tasted from Lato...there’s so much to love here."
We always love hosting Paul in our tasting room, and here's your chance to taste through his latest bottlings of benchmark wines on Saturday, October 31. Yes -- it's Halloween -- but these are vinicultural treats that you can't miss! There are 2 seatings earlier in the day to give you plenty of time before your evening festivities.
Click through to reserve your seat at either 12 pm or 2 pm. A $50 fee is required to hold your seat, which can be applied to $350+ bottle purchases at the event.
