When the French vignerons Étienne de Montille and Rodolphe Péters scoured the West Coast to find a home for their new venture, they landed on a northern hillside in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. They literally planted roots there in 2016 and launched the Racines label (meaning "roots" in French), starting by sourcing grapes from local vineyards while their own vineyard matured. At last, they recently released their inaugural 2023 bottlings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the De Montille estate vineyard, and we are excited for you to try them! Who better to present these to you than Étienne de Montille himself! Yes, Etienne will be visiting us from France to share these wines with you as well as two of his premier cru Burgundy wines from Domaine de Montille.
