Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Moretti Wines!

Moretti Wines current releases include Con Fusione, Bianchetto, Prosecco, Rosso Mio and GSM

We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the launch of Moretti Wines in 2010 by Antonio and Jeni Moretti. Their Italian-inspired local wine label started modestly in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto with only a few hundred cases, which wasn't quite enough to sustain a tasting room. They quickly discovered that there were other boutique winemakers like them, but who lacked an outlet to introduce the wines to customers. So Antonio and Jeni expanded their offerings and poured other local wines from these producers without tasting rooms under the new name "Taste of Santa Rita Hills".

On the 15h anniversary of Moretti Wines, we are thrilled to launch the first Moretti 2023 Rosato -- a Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvested in the magical 2023 vintage by Crown Point, this wine shows all of the balance one would expect from Provence, but grown in the sandy clay soils of Happy Canyon. With soft strawberry and crushed rose petal notes, this Rosato has a silky texture and voluptuous weight that you might expect from a Cabernet Sauvignon varietal. New Blog and Revamped Website

We're also inaugurating our 15th anniversary with a revamped website, and this new monthly blog for opted-in customers. We hope you enjoy our articles featuring new wine releases, upcoming tasting events, local vineyard education, plus our personal recommendations for other local "mom and pop" businesses to visit and experience. In this issue, it's only fitting to promote Moretti Wine and Food Travel, owned by none other than Antonio and Jeni Moretti, who have proven that semi-retirement has its benefits!

COMMUNITY CORNER: Our small space to promote local small business owners

When customers ask if we've been on any of Jeni's tours to Italy, my immediate reply is "I wish!" Now that we own this tasting room, our chances of going are even slimmer. However, we can vouch for the long-time customers who have returned from those tours and told us about all of the amazing food, esteemed winery visits, beautiful site-seeing and unique camaraderie that can only be built from a passion for Italy. Jeni's tours for the remainder of 2025 are already sold out, but there's no time like the present to plan for the 2026 tours to Alto Adige, Verona, or Umbria. Visit Moretti Wine Travel for details.
