For more than 20 years, Matt Dees has focused his winemaking expertise in the Sta. Rita Hills. With Mail Road, he produces incredibly complex wines from the Mt. Carmel vineyard in the heart of the AVA. This vineyard is uniquely influenced by its elevation of 800-1000 feet above sea level and soil composition (primarily botella clay, limestone, diatomaceous earth, sandy loam). At approximately 23 acres, this limited production of single-vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and sparkling wines is only accessible through their online membership or high-end restaurants and retailers like us.
